FAVERSHAM has one of England's oldest intact town centres and we are right in the middle of it, adjacent to Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewery and 50 metres up Quay Lane (from which the Company gets its name) from the Creek and the Port of Faversham (originally a subsidiary Cinque Port), with its original timber-framed town warehouse still standing (now a sea-scout hut).
Many "celeb" travel writers have referred to Faversham as their "favourite small town in Kent". The town has around 450 listed buildings, of which 25 Court Street, built around the end of the 16th Century, is one. The building is an appropriate venue for a transport consultancy, having been built by a shipowner / master who imported salt from East Anglia and sold it in a shop at the front of the house.
Faversham has numerous restaurants and pubs and hosts many public social events, including a raft race, a carnival and the annual Hop Festival. It is a lively but relaxing place to work and discuss business, so come on down and meet us. For those who travel by road to and from Europe, we are five minutes off the M2.
TO GET TO 25 COURT STREET, FAVERSHAM BY CAR
Take the M2 towards Dover, take the Faversham / Ashford turnoff (A251).
Come off the slip road and turn left to Faversham.
At the T-junction, turn left onto the A2 then immediately right for Faversham (signed Market, Historic Town, etc.).
After 100 yards the road turns left, then right, under a railway bridge and right again. Proceed past the railway station (on your right) and turn left down Newton Road (following the road markings).
After 300 yards proceed straight through Favershams only set of Traffic Lights, follow the road round to the left, over a zebra crossing and right. There are parking spaces on the left (in front of Shepherd Neames Brewery) or in Abbey Street. 25 Court Street is on the corner of Quay Lane.
FAVERSHAM BY TRAIN
Trains leave Victoria Station (usually Platforms 1, 2 or 5) about twice an hour during the working day.
Leave Faversham station by the main exit (down the stairs from the Platform and turn RIGHT). Taxis are usually available and there is a small taxi office inside the station.
If you prefer to walk, it takes 8 minutes.
Cross the road into Preston Street. Carry on down Preston Street to the Market Place, past the Town Hall and into Court Street. Carry on past the Shepherd Neame Brewery (on the left). 25 Court Street is 6 houses past the Brewery and is on the corner of Quay Lane.
